RACE DETAILS:

Welcome to race #2 of the Mideast MultiSport Series. The Tin Man Sprint Duathlon will be staged at the BEAUTIFUL Prairie Oaks Metro Park this race features great running along metro parks trails and a good old fashion bike race along some quiet country roads.

USA TRIATHLON SANCTIONED
We are pleased to announce that the Mideast Multi-Sport Series is sanctioned by USA Triathlon.  All rules and regulations set forth by the national office will be enforced on race day.  Entrants must show proof of membership at packet pick-up.  Membership is offered two (2) ways: 1 ) You may apply for an annual USAT membership ($30) prior to the race by calling USA Triathlon at (719) 597-9090 or by signing-up on-line at www.usatriathlon.org. *NOTE: Applying for an annual membership prior to the event takes 3-4 weeks for processing, so think ahead.  2.) You may apply for a one-day event permit for $10.00.  This fee will be added to your entry fee and forwarded to the national office.  *Note: Entries are nontransferable.

ABOUT THE RACE: Run 2 Miles Bike 13 Miles Run 3.1 Miles

The Tin Man Duathlon at Prairie Oaks will begin with a 2 mile run along one of the very scenic Prairie Oaks trails past deep fresh water lakes. Following the run will be a flat and "fast" 13 mile bike race along country roads. The race concludes with a 3.1 mile trail run.

NOTE: USA Triathlon rules will be strictly enforced to assure the safety and wellness of each competitior. PLEASE be familiar with all of the rules and regulations of drafting, passing, and bike helmet standards.

RACE DIVISIONS

AGE GROUP: 16-17, 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

RELAY (MEN/WOMEN/MIXED): Combines one runner and one cyclist.

CRUISER/ATHENA: 190LBS/MEN 150LBS/WOMEN

AWARDS AGE GROUP/CLYDESDALE/ATHENA: Top 3 per division.     RELAY: Top 3 teams per each relay division. Awards are based on pre-registration numbers on the Wednesday before the event and will be issued accoring to your age on RACE DAY.

CHIP TIMING
Each event will use the chip timing system for accurate and immediate results.

RACE RESULTS
Race results for each event will be posted on our site at www.ultrafit-usa.com following the event.

RACE PACKETS: Your race packet will include a quality “technical” race-shirt with the official race logo, EAS Sports Nutritional supplement, Buca di Beppo “carbo load” certificate, finish line food and beverage.

PRE-REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICK-UP: 1) Mail in this entry form to ULTRAFIT-USA, PO BOX 629, HILLIARD, OHIO 43026 2) Register online at www.ultrafit-usa.com until May 24th at 12:00pm. 3) Register at Tri-Tech MultiSport  located at 6185 N Huntley Rd (614-846-1516) beginning May 17th thru May 23rd. Hours: M-W-F 11-7pm T-T 11-5pm Sat 10-6pm. Closed Sunday. 4) Register on Race Day starting at 6:30am. Walk in registration is available....cash or check only (no credit cards accepted)

RACE DAY REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICK-UP: Prairie Oaks Mero Park beginning at 6:30am.

DIRECTIONS TO RACE SITE: From I-270, take I-70 west to the West Jefferson / Plain City exit, turn right onto Plain City-Georgesville Road / State Route 142. Go about 2.25 miles to Lucas Road (passing the main park entrance) and turn right. Go across Big Darby Creek and turn right at the stop sign onto Amity Road. Entrance is about 0.5 miles on right
